Didactic TrainingDCRI research fellows are encouraged to pursue coursework or a full master's degree from a variety of program options listed below. The didactic training can be an important component of a fellow’s research experienced in the DCRI research fellowship.
Fellows are required to make arrangements for financial support to cover the tuition costs associated with pursuing coursework or a degree program with their sponsoring department, division, or home institution.
Additional Educational Opportunities
DCRI fellows attend a weekly DCRI Clinical Research Conference in which fellows, faculty, and visiting researchers present work in progress. The topics are designed to address all areas of research interest. DCRI research fellows are expected to make a presentation at a given research conference at least once during their 2-year research fellowship to discuss their ongoing research project.
There is a weekly fellows’ lunch seminar lecture series where fellows have the opportunity to present their research findings and learn practical details regarding career planning, grant submission, and other topics. Additionally, the biostatistics faculty and staff conduct a biweekly statistical seminar.
