Kristina Sigmon, MA
Director, Statistical Operations
Kristina Sigmon joined the DCRI as a statistician in 1987, and became Director of Biostatistical Operations in 1999. She has been part of the Duke family since matriculating as an undergraduate and then earning her Master of Arts degree in zoology. Sigmon participated in the design and statistical analysis of several significant cardiovascular trials, including EPIC, IMPACT-II, and BRAVO. She has been the primary statistician in 10 crucial trials of platelet glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitors, as well as several acute myocardial infarction studies of thrombolytic agents and two studies of experimental medical devices.
Sigmon is the coauthor of nearly 50 peer-reviewed papers and is a magna cum laude graduate of Duke University.
