Nicole Hedrick joined the DCRI in 2014 as the Chief Human Resources Officer supporting programs and staffing needs for both the Duke Translational Medicine Institute and the DCRI. Prior to joining us, Hedrick was the executive director of Global Mobility Immigration with IBM and has extensive expertise in talent recruitment and retention, workforce planning and development, and employee engagement.
In her role as CHRO, Hedrick focuses on aligning overall human resources strategy with that of our organization. As a member of the DCRI’s executive leadership team, she helps determine and reinforce the vision, work culture, academic productivity, organizational structure, and financial performance of the DCRI. She lead efforts to create and sustain a progressive, high-performing, high-impact work culture—one that successfully attracts, retains, and engages the talent needed to accomplish the DCRI’s mission.
