Interim Director, Industry Trials
Ty Rorick joined the DCRI MegaTrials group in 2007 after 13 years with Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals. Rising from a project lead to associate director of MegaTrials, Rorick was named interim director of Industry Trials in 2018. His work has spanned high-profile pivotal Phase III trials on behalf of the industry’s leading pharmaceutical companies, to Phase I and II trials that require precise execution and deadline adherence. Rorick believes that building responsive, meaningful relationships are paramount to successful trials. His network of collaborations extends to the major clinical and academic research organizations of the world, mid-size to start-up biopharmaceutical companies, and institutes like the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). He is deeply respected in the industry for his knowledge and clinical research management experience.
The Industry Trials group, led by Rorick, focuses on those trials that require smart and efficient leadership to meet rigorous requirements with set deadlines. As a member of the larger DCRI Operations Management Team, Rorick regularly connects with his counterparts in Government Trials and Networks, MegaTrials, and Health Services Research, as well as other key functional groups within the DCRI. These connections enable the team to work with a broad overview of the clinical research landscape while providing access to a vast network of knowledge and experience.
Rorick holds a degree in business from the University of Cincinnati, and a nursing degree from Northern Kentucky University.
