Dana McDonald joined the DCRI in 2004 as a Project Leader in Clinical Operations. She has since held several leadership positions across the organization, where she has overseen the governance and program management of a multitude of cross-functional improvement initiatives. Most recently and for the past four years, McDonald has served as Associate Director of Human Resources Operations. Her core expertise includes project and program management, process optimization, and clinical trial operations.
In her role as Director of Human Resources, McDonald focuses on aligning overall human resources strategy with that of our organization, providing direction to the DCRI HR group and ensuring alignment with the Duke School of Medicine.
Before joining the DCRI, McDonald was a Project Manager at Quintiles (now IQVIA). She is a Certified Facilitative Leader and Mutual Learning coach as well as a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Duke University.
