Patty McAdams is a clinical research professional with more than 30 years of experience advancing communications and engagement strategies that connect people with clinical research. She leads the Research Communications and Engagement (RC&E) team at the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI), a specialized group focused on supporting clinical research through clear, accessible, and strategic communications across every stage of the research process. Patty brings expertise in plain-language principles, project management, strategic communications, and organic and paid social media. She has contributed to publications on innovative recruitment and retention approaches. Patty is a member of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals and is a Goodmon Leadership Fellow.
