Carolyn Moore Arias, MPH, is Director of Strategic Engagement at the DCRI, where she provides leadership and support to faculty leaders in order to secure new industry research opportunities. Arias oversees industry business development, sales, and account management activities.
Arias and her team are also responsible for the DCRI Think Tank program in which regulatory agencies, industry sponsors, academics, tech companies, and patients come together to address critical issues in drug development on a quarterly basis in Washington, D.C. The DCRI Think Tank program has successfully completed over 90 meetings in the past 25 years, resulting in over 143 peer-reviewed publications. Arias’ team also oversees DCRI Education Services, a range of data-driven, data-proven educational initiatives that meet identified gaps in care and accelerate the adoption of the latest research into practice.
Prior to joining DCRI, Arias led and executed on Biogen’s U.S. commercialization strategy across multiple sclerosis and rare disease programs. She also held roles at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts in health care reform and at IQVIA, formerly Quintiles, in corporate communications.
Arias holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as well as a master’s degree in public health from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.
