
Co-Host, DCRI Beyond the Endpoint
Emily O'Brien, PhD, is a leading epidemiologist and health outcomes researcher at Duke University where she serves as associate professor in Population Health Sciences and Neurology. As co-director of Population Health Sciences at the Duke Clinical Research Institute, she investigates how different treatments affect patient outcomes in cardiovascular and pulmonary disease. O'Brien has published over 190 peer-reviewed papers and leads multiple federally funded research projects. She serves as associate editor for Circulation: Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes and is a fellow of the American Heart Association.
