Hemang Maniar, MS, joined the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) as Chief Research Technology Officer in September 2024. He leads the technology, digital health, and artificial intelligence solutions organization, driving innovation across clinical research through modern technology platforms, AI, advanced analytics, and digital health technologies. His focus is on accelerating research delivery, enhancing participant experiences, and enabling data-driven decision-making at scale.
With more than two decades of experience as a technology executive, Maniar is recognized for building and transforming high-performing organizations through strategic vision, operational excellence, and technological innovation. At the DCRI, he is advancing the adoption of AI-powered capabilities, intelligent automation, and scalable digital solutions to shape the future of clinical research.
His expertise spans AI strategy, digital transformation, enterprise technology, cybersecurity, cloud services, product innovation, and operational leadership. Maniar is passionate about leveraging emerging technologies to improve research outcomes and deliver greater value to patients, researchers, and sponsors worldwide.
Maniar holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Sadar Patel College of Engineering in Mumbai and a master's in computer science from Mississippi State University.
