Lauren Arney, RN, is the Assistant Director of Clinical Events Classification (CEC) at the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) within the CSI+ group. She has over nine years of experience in clinical research, including CEC, Arrhythmia Core Lab, and pharmacovigilance. Arney has worked in various therapeutic areas such as oncology, cardiology, respiratory, neurology, immunology, and hepatology. She is proficient in the oversight and coordination of clinical research projects. Arney is skilled in effective project planning, maintenance of performance and quality of services provided, database design and implementation, clinical trial start-up and execution, compliance with regulatory requirements, adherence to finance targets, customer and staff relationship building, mentorship and coaching of the project leadership team, team building, and professional team growth.
Prior to her career in clinical research, Lauren worked for Duke Medical Center as a registered nurse providing critical care level nursing to Pediatric Blood and Bone Marrow Transplant recipients. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and is a registered nurse in North Carolina.
