Reza Rostami, MBA, joined the DCRI in 1996 and has built a nearly three-decade career at the organization, advancing from Quality Assurance Audit Coordinator to his current role as Director of Quality Assurance. With 30 years of experience in quality systems, regulatory compliance, data management, and informatics, he has established himself as a leader in regulated healthcare research.

In his current role, Rostami ensures that the institute's clinical research operations meet the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance. His expertise spans the implementation and management of quality systems, quality assurance assessments, regulatory compliance, data management, vendor management, and the advancement of informatics to optimize research outcomes. His career at the DCRI has encompassed progressive leadership roles across both quality assurance and data management, including positions as Manager of Clinical Data Quality Control, Manager of Clinical Data Operations, Assistant Director of Clinical Data Management, Assistant Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance, and Associate Director of Quality Management prior to assuming his current role.

Rostami is an active contributor to his field through publications, speaking engagements, and several prominent professional organizations. He serves on the Society for Clinical Data Management (SCDM) Global Academic Council, the SCDM Japan Steering Committee, and the Editorial Board of the Journal of the Society for Clinical Data Management. He previously served two terms as an elected member of the SCDM Board of Trustees.

Rostami holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University's Pratt School of Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. He has also achieved an extensive portfolio of professional certifications in regulatory affairs, data management, quality management, and quality engineering.
