Researchers from the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) were once again named to Clarivate's Most Highly Cited Scientists list.
DCRI member cardiologists Christopher Granger, MD, Renato Lopes, MD, PhD, and DCRI Executive Director Adrian Hernandez, MD, MHS, join biostatistician and DCRI member Michael Pencina, PhD, on the esteemed list of researchers for 2023. Nearly 7,000 were named to this year's list, with 30 Duke researchers making the list.
Hernandez has been named to the list for each of the last five years, while Pencina and Granger have been included each year since 2014. This year marks Lopes' first appearance on the list.
Evaluation and selection of honorees draws on data from Clarivate's Web of Science citation index, analysis by bibliometric experts and data scientists at the Clarivate's Institute for Scientific Information.
